Financial services is a highly regulated industry. Nozomi has a number of lawyers who worked inside the regulators such as the Financial Service Agency of Japan and the Bank of Japan, and based on their hands-on experiences, Nozomi provides banks, securities firms, funds, insurance companies, and other financial service providers with regulatory advice, development of a variety of types of internal policies, responses to audit by regulators, preparation of legal opinions, financial disputes, including Financial ADR (alternative dispute resolution), handling of anti-social forces.
We also have our “FinTech” team, which provides specialist advice to financial institutions, startups, investors and other players in the FinTech industry on the Banking Act, the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, the Insurance Business Act, the Payment Services Act and all other applicable laws relating to business structuring, contracts, policies and investments in FinTech businesses.
